April is finally here. Bring on the rain! This time of year, we begin Spring cleaning and decluttering. Whether it is your home, garage, closet or just your email inbox. The weather also lends itself to more outdoor activities. We begin gardening, attending sporting events and mapping out spring break vacations. Community street festivals start kicking into high gear as well. Here are some things to look forward to this month.

• April 1: April Fool's Day - I fall for this every year. Beware of pranksters!

• April 2: World Autism Awareness Day - Consider becoming an advocate or earn your Autism Ally Badge. Check out Autism Speaks to learn more information.

• April 10: National Siblings Day - Let your siblings know that you are mom and dad's favorite.

• April 12-20: San Francisco's 2025 Cherry Blossom Festival - Established in 1968! Japanese culture and the diversity of the Japanese American Community in the festivities as San Francisco’s Japantown celebrates Japanese and Japanese-American culture. The celebration coincides with the blooming of the cherry blossoms. Ending with a grand parade on April 20th.

• April 15: Tax Day - No explanation needed

• April 20: Easter

• April 22: Earth Day - A great time to volunteer in a local cleanup project.
